Pharmacy is the science and practice of discovering, producing, preparing, dispensing, and reviewing drugs, aiming to ensure the safe, effective, and affordable use of drugs. It is a miscellaneous science as it links health sciences with pharmaceutical sciences and natural sciences.

DIPLOMA COURSES

Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm)- 2 years

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • It is the Diploma degree in pharmacy.
  • The minimum qualification of 10+2 is required.
  • It must be passed with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology subjects.
  • For admission to this course, Candidates must have completed 17 years of age.

UNDERGRADUATE COURSES

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) – 4 years

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • It is the bachelor’s degree in pharmacy that can be taken after passing 12th/intermediate examination.
  • Candidates must pass 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as a compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology subjects and must obtained 50% marks in qualifying examination.
  • Minimum 17 years of age.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) Lateral Entry – 3 years

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy) holders are eligible for admission into B.Pharm (lateral entry).

POSTGRADUATE COURSES

Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) – 2 years

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • A pass in Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) programme with not less than 50% marks is required to be eligible for this course.

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) – 6 years

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • Course duration is 6 years (5 years of Classroom study and 1 year of Internship).
  • The qualification required is 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as a compulsory subjects with any one of Mathematics or Biology subject.

Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) – 3 years

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • A pass in Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) programme with not less than 50% marks is required to be eligible for this course.

DOCTORAL COURSES

 Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences – 3 years

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • It is the research programme in pharmacy field.
  • Candidates can pursue this course after completing M.Pharm from a well-recognized institution.
