Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

 Eligibility for Diploma in Dentistry

The basic eligibility criteria for Diploma in Dentistry is 10+2 passed with Science stream including Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (favoured) from a perceived board is the minimum educational qualification required.

  • Dental Operating Room Assistant
  • Diploma In Dental Hygienists
  • Diploma In Dental Mechanic

 Eligibility for Under Graduate programmes- BDS

BDS or Bachelor of Dental Science course is a 4 years bachelor’s dentistry course. Course duration can be extended up to 5 years if the student wishes to opt for an internship. BDS focuses on dental health and hygiene. Bachelor of Dental Science is the only course recommended in India for dental healthcare. BDS is the most sought medical course after MBBS.

The admission to BDS course offered in all medical colleges in India to be done on the basis of NEET UG score.

Eligibility for Post Graduate Programmes

MDS or Master of Dental Sciences is a postgraduate course in different disciplines of dentistry. A candidate has to be a Bachelor of Dental Science from a recognized university in order to be eligible for this course.

M.D.S is a three-year program that has almost nine specialty disciplines. The course follows an annual system over semester system

The admission to MDS courses offered in all medical colleges in India to be done on the basis of NEET PG Entrance score.
